In 2003-2004 Virtual Proteins raised 150.000 euro pre-seed capital, to be used for business-development and the creation of a first prototype of the VP MicroLab ®, to be demonstrated to financers and leading customers. In 2006 and 2007 Virtual Proteins got support from micro-angels, currently part of the " Friends of Virtual Proteins Foundation" that helped starting to build the companies solid base. In 2007 Virtual Proteins also received a 200.000 EURO innovation credit facility (I-BBMKB) garanteed by the Dutch governement. In 2008 the company recieved another 400.000 EURO loan as the next step of the I-BBMKB by Senter Novem. In 2009 the final tranche of 400.000 EURO has become available since the company delivered the next milestone. That year, some new friends joined our foundation. The company is currently in a growing phase, supported bij the "Twenty/Twenty foundation" in Amsterdam, helping out companies with an exceptional growth potential. This year we will seek additional financing, to be able to start selling our products worldwide and to extend our product portfolio. SenterNovem, The Hague,the Netherlands
SenterNovem is an agency of the Ministry of Trade of the Netherlands. It aims to promote and execute government policy with relation to innovation, sustainability and the environment. SenterNovem has credited Virtual Proteins with a WBSO facility, which is a tax stimulation program to promote research and development. Virtual Proteins and SenterNovem are also  cooperating to realize a government guaranteed credit facility, Besluit Borgstelling MKB kredieten (BBMKB).

Brainport, Eindhoven,the Netherlands
As a promising SME company, Virtual Proteins BV got a lot of financial support from NVREDE (merged into Brainport Development) for external advice. Brainport Development supports economic growth in the Eindhoven Region. Virtual Proteins BV is currently located at the BETA-building of the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, owned by Brainport.

Rabobank, Eindhoven, the Netherlands
In 2003 Virtual Proteins received a "Rabobank Innovatiekrediet" to build the prototype. In 2004 Rabobank has offered additional financial facilities for the company to start. Rabobank is the companies national corporate bank. Rabobank has also facilitated 1 M EURO of the I-BBMKB, the government guaranteed credit facility.

TechnoPartner, The Netherlands
In 2007 Virtual Proteins BV received the TechnoPartnerLabel for high innovative and promising high tech start-ups in the Netherlands. is part of the BioPartner Network in the Netherlands, in its early stage the company's CEO also participated in the BioPartner Masterclass Biobusiness in 2003.

Incubator3+, Eindhoven, the Netherlands
From 2003-2004 Virtual Proteins participated in the Eindhoven regional hightech startup program Incubator 3+ and received a grant to develop its businessplan and to build a network of advisors and prospects.
